Bears fired offensive coordinator Ron Turner.Bears TE coach Rob Boras is also gone, and QB coach Pep Hamilton will likely follow. Turner's unit finished 23rd overall and 29th in rushing offense, a year after the Bears ranked fifth in rushing. Turner also had a "cold relationship" with Jay Cutler, whose frustration with the playcalls showed on the field and perhaps contributed to his oft-lackadaisical play. Chicago is expected to target USC offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates and ex-Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis, among others, to be Turner's replacement.

Multiple sources are reporting that the Bears will announce Lovie Smith will remain the team's head coach after leading the team to its second losing season in the last three years. The status quo likely will end there for the Bears coaching staff, however.
