Non ne so molto nemmeno io, a dire il vero.
Ho letto un comunicato stampa pubblicato su Huddle.org che parla di una lega ad otto squadre, con una italiana (Bergamo).

Secondo un comunicato stampa diramato dall'EFAF, sarebbe oramai imminente la partenza di una nuova superlega europea del tutto simile alla FLE che,una decina di anni fa,cerco' di affermare un modello di lega semiprofessionistica in Europa.
Ora come allora alcuni nomi noti sono compresi in questa lega, in termini di franchigie. La lega avra' una forte impronta tedesca, come sembra oramai essere il trend che anche NFL ha seguito con la NFL Europa.

The General Assemby of European Federation of American Football, during the last meeting held in London last Satturday, gave the green light to the first semi-pro League of Europe; after the experience of EFL, the national club champions tournament, in order to balance the "invasion" of NFLE, the European Delegates approved the President's project to launch a new League.
This new League will start its activity in October '07 and will be shared by following franchises:
Dodge Vikings Vienna
Flash de la Courneuve
Swarco Raiders Tirol
Bergamo Gladiator
Hamburg Blue Devils
Braunschweig Lions
Dusseldorf Panthers
Moscow Patriots
Mr. Uwe Talke has been appointed as League's Commissioner.
As his first official act as ELAF Commissioner, Mr. Talke announced that the league already signed, thanks to League's Media Manager Mr Michael Eschlböck, a contract with Eurosport Channel (satellite) for the full regular season coverage and the live broadcasting of the Final game (currently named Europa Bowl).
The ELAF will start playing in October 2007 with a 14-games regular season in which each team will face the other seven sides home and away.
The first half of the season will start October 21st and will end on December 2nd. AFter one month suspension, the season will resume on January 13th and will end on February 24th.
The Europa Bowl is scheduled for March 9th at the AOL Arena in Hamburg.
Mr Mario Rende, Bergamo's Owner, declared: "At last european football took the best decision to support a semi-pro league able to contest again NFLE and promote the european football image; thanks to this new League my club will have a chance to grow up and leave the italian football league, where some nonsense rules stopped the development of our sport. In view of the above project I agreed to the Commissioner request to change the historical nickname of my franchise (Lions as like as the Braunschweig team) in a new one, more representative of Italy.
I'm sure that the granted television coverage will allow us to reach sport top level audience in a few years!!"

scherzi a parte, se hanno davvero firmato per la copertura televisiva da parte di eurosport fanno le cose in grande...però speriamo che non affidino il commento allo stesso che fa l'arena football :fiu:
