According to the Chicago Sun Times, former Rams head coach Mike Martz is a candidate to be the Bears' next offensive coordinator."Martz would love to work with Jay Cutler," a source said. Martz is close to Lovie Smith from their days at Arizona State and St. Louis, and current Bears OC Ron Turner is on his way out. Presumably, Martz's egotistical reputation wouldn't be a big turnoff under a head coach he has such a long history with. The Bears would need better protection from their front five, however. Martz is one of the most pass-heavy offensive minds of our generation.
