Vikings QB Brett Favre says he will need surgery on his left ankle if he decides to play in 2010, but it would be a minor procedure.

News: Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports that an NFL player who knows QB Brett Favre said Favre told him, "I'm 100 percent positive I'll never put on pads again in my life." King reports this isn't anything to read into since it's Favre, who has been known to change his mind often. But Favre also said last week he needs surgery on his left ankle, which was injured in the NFC Championship Game loss against New Orleans.
