Prime dichiarazioni di Alex Brown:
"New Orleans was my first visit. The Saints were the perfect fit for me. Everybody I ran into, everybody I met was so nice and they really believe that I can make the team better, if I come in and help out…and it makes you feel good. It makes you want to come play and it gets you jacked up a little bit. I'm really excited.
It feels like home."
Alex says that he can play on both sides of the ball, but he plans on being at left Defensive End. "Oh yes. I can play both sides, but I fully expected to come in there and play left defensive end.
We have one of the best, if not the best defensive ends in the league playing there right now in Will Smith."
Brown says other players watch each other and appreciate good play. I've admired his (Will Smith) game from afar and I've enjoyed watching him play the run and get after the quarterback. I can't wait.
I think we are going to have a lot of fun with Coach Williams blitzing and changing up…giving us different things to do on defense. I think we are going to be able to get after the quarterback even more so than they were able to do last year. Hopefully that is the case."
"With me coming in, hopefully this year we will blitz, because we want to and not necessarily because we have to. If we can get pressure from the defensive line without having to blitz, that will make it a little easier on those corners (corner backs) back there and those guys (Saints corner backs) are unbelievable. "They (Saints) won the Super Bowl without me. I'm trying to come in and find my niche and help out in any way I can. I'm not trying to change anything."
"I'm going to play the run. They're not going to run the ball to my side. And I'm saying that now…and if they do pop one on me during the year, I know we will come back to this interview. I don't care about pressure, I put pressure on myself. They're not going to run the ball to that left side, if I am in there…no way."
