Raiders coach Lane Kiffin told the NFL Network in a live interview that JaMarcus Russell was "a great prospect. "He sure didn't disappoint," Kiffin said. "He's handled things very good, very smart, and there's no doubt he'll be a great leader on the team." Kiffin did not show his hand on whether the Raiders would use the top choice on Russell, saying the team planned to fly him to Oakland, Calif., soon and have him run through a workout. Russell also declined to speculate on his future home, although he acknowledged meeting with officials from the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions in addition to the Raiders. One of those meetings took place Tuesday night, when the Raiders' brass took Russell out to dinner ("Ruffino's -- my choice," Russell said), and various football executives also have discussed his talents with LSU coaches.
