phil richard sui problemi dei colts
"Two words. Offensive. Line. It’s been in steady decline since the Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears. Tarik Glenn, gone. Jake Scott, gone. Ryan Lilja, gone. Roster turnover is a fact of life in the NFL, but the Colts have not done a good job at all at replacing significant offensive line departures. The team thought it had a successor for Glenn with Tony Ugoh. That obviously didn’t work out. He’s gone. It also believed Mike Pollak would first be a solid starting guard, then perhaps at some point replace Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday. That hasn’t worked out. Pollak first lost his starting job to Kyle DeVan, a former Arena2 player then to Jeff Linkenbach, an undrafted rookie. Hopefully Pollak will regroup and be a viable option. The two free-agent acquisitions last offseason – Andy Alleman and Adam Terry – clearly weren’t part of the solution. Neither made it out of training camp. The Colts selected Jacques McClendon in the fourth round of the April draft, and he’s having a hard time getting on the field. I know fans heard this last year, but Priority One this offense must be overhauling the offensive line. The running game isn’t going to improve until that’s accomplished. Manning’s protection needs to be shored up as well. Right now, everything on offense is too much of a struggle".
