Running back Reggie Bush remains very much in the Saints' plans, despite an $8 million salary in 2010, and the team has made no attempts to ask him to restructure, according to league sources.
The Saints have had several conversations with agent Joel Segal, who also represents star New Orleans safety Darren Sharper, a potential free agent, and have not broached the subject of altering Bush's salary.

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Thursday that the club has tendered qualifying offers to 13 players slated to become restricted free agents at the start of the new league year next week. Terms of the offers were not disclosed.

Defensive linemen Remi Ayodele and Anthony Hargrove, offensive tackles Jammal Brown, Jermon Bushrod and Zach Strief, safeties Roman Harper, Chris Reis and Usama Young, linebacker Marvin Mitchell, wide receivers Lance Moore and Courtney Roby, tight end David Thomas and running back Pierre Thomas are the 13 players who have received offers from the team.

The Super Bowl champion Saints could be creating a vacancy for LaDainian Tomlinson by apparently allowing running back Mike Bell to become a free agent. Bell was not one of the 13 restricted free agents they tendered on Thursday.

Bell a me piace.
Però ha due difetti: anzitutto ha un modo di giocare molto fisico che lo porta ad infortunarsi spesso, niente di grave, ma tende a saltare qualche partita di troppo.
E poi sembra che abbia avuto una discussione con coach Payton durante il Superbowl, il che lo taglierebbe fuori a priori... :mahchedevofà:

Una squadra come i Saints, che gioca alternando i RB, per un RB spremuto come un limone per anni credo sia la soluzione ottimale...
Comunque sembra che Brees stia facendo una pressione pazzesca per avere LT in squadra.

Offerto contratto per il prossimo anno a 3,168 mil e in caso di firma con altra squadra in cambio ci toccherebbe una 1° ed una 3° scelta. La prima sarebbe comunque ottima, ma spero davvero che rimanga...
