Vikings CB Asher Allen has retired from football.
Coach Leslie Frazier made the announcement after Wednesday's OTA practice. Frazier insisted the retirement wasn't medical-related, but it's worth noting that Allen suffered a concussion late last season and another in November of 2010. A third-round pick out of Georgia in 2009, Allen's career ends after just three seasons and 21 career starts. He recorded four career interceptions.

Altra ottima notizia dagli OTA dei Vikings, questo potrebbe essere lo starter con meno partite giocate nella storia della NFL, ma porcaccia:

Nursing a sore groin, Vikings MLB Jasper Brinkley is not participating in this week's minicamp.
Brinkley acknowledges that the injury is related to the hip injury that caused him to sit out the entire 2011 season. It's a concern because Brinkley is slated to be a first-year starter in place of free agent E.J. Henderson. Second-year player Tyrone McKenzie filled in for Brinkley in Tuesday's practice.
