The Texans are marketing this Sunday's game against the Colts as "Deep Steel Sunday." The team will be wearing all blue, and they are encouraging the fanbase to support the team by wearing blue as well. The "Deep Steel" part of it is that the Texans navy color is called "Deep Steel Blue" but not in homage to Derek Zoolander's iconic pose or meant to be a porn flick name or whatever.Texans quarterback, Matt Schaub, encourages fans to get to their seats early:"Hopefully, the fans are wild and crazy and in their seats right from the beginning, yelling and screaming for us. We just have to go out and play hard, just cut it loose again like we did at Carolina."You see, sometimes the more casual in the fanbase is a little late in arriving. The tailgating at Reliant is some of the best in the league, and some folks lose track of time. And to be fair, when the tailgates have often been more entertaining than the games...well, I am guessing on Sunday Texan fans will be in their seats plenty early for this particular matchup. (For those who care, the only time the Texans wore the blue on blue combination was only time they beat the Colts).Speaking of Zoolander, it is the nickname that a number of Texans fans have given their former quarterback, David Carr. For example, Scott of the Battle Red Blog, makes a Zoolander blast in his discussion of how his eyes aren't deceiving Texans fans in how much better Schaub is over Carr. That quantifiably, Schaub plays better against the blitz, and he is better at short and intermediate routes. On Sunday, he will have quite the test of those skills without his Probowl receiver Andre Johnson who has a knee sprain.
