The Bears on Tuesday bolstered their offensive line with another young prospect when they plucked guard Herman Johnson off the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad.

Offensive lineman Herman Johnson was selected by the Cardinals in the fifth round of last year's draft. Johnson was selected by the Cardinals in the fifth round of last year’s draft out of LSU. He spent the entire season on Arizona’s 53-man roster, but was inactive for all 16 games. The 6-7, 360-pounder was on the Cardinals’ practice squad for the first 13 weeks this season.
Nicknamed “The House,” Johnson weighed 15 pounds and 14 ounces at birth, making him the largest baby ever born in the state of Louisiana.
