In questi giorni Calvin Johnson e Jamarcus Russell saranno ad Oakland, ed è proprio tra questi due nomi che uscirà la prima scelta. 2. WIDE RECEIVER: No. 1 wideout Randy Moss' future with the Raiders remains tenuous. Draft prospects: Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech; Dwayne Bowe, LSU; Ted Ginn Jr., Ohio State; Robert Meachem, Tennessee; Dwayne Garrett, Southern Cal; Jason Hill, Washington State.

3. OFFENSIVE TACKLE: Projected starters Robert Gallery and Barry Sims struggled last season on a line that allowed a league-worst 72 sacks. Draft prospects: Joe Thomas, Wisconsin; Levi Brown, Penn State; Joe Staley, Central Michigan; Mario Henderson, Florida State.

4. DEFENSIVE END: Tyler Brayton recorded no sacks, and pass-rush specialist Lance Johnstone isn't getting any younger. The Raiders need a solid complement to Derrick Burgess. Oltre all'errore di non prendere nessuno fra i quarterback veterani in circolazione, sono sempre più convinto che la scelta giusta alla 1 sia CJ, riuscissero a trattenere Moss la coppia Randy-Calvin aiuterebbe non poco il nuovo QB, che a quel punto sarebbe Stanton o Edwards. Se sanno di avere qualche possibilità di non perdere Moss, tenterei il tutto per tutto e formerei una coppia clamorosa di WR nel primo (e difficile) anno del QB rookie, poi se funziona hanno la combo QB-Johnson e volano per anni, se va male hanno comunque un ricevitore mostruoso e la possibilità di trovargli il quarterback l'anno prossimo. Il secondo giro e l'altra scelta del terzo le destinerei una alla O-line e una alla difesa, poi ci sono una quarta, due quinte, una sesta e due settime in cui pescare il tight end e qualche jolly...

This would be a shock considering everyone has the Raiders selecting either Calvin Johnson or JaMarcus Russell. However, it could also be a smokescreen or misinformation to try and get Johnson or Russell to sign for less.
