Bills RB C.J. Spiller only did conditioning work on the side with athletic trainers Wednesday. He’ll be getting the plan for today from the trainers.
“I haven’t sat down with the trainers yet and they haven’t given me the game plan for what today holds,” said Spiller prior to Thursday’s practice. ”Whatever it is I’m going to do it to the best of my ability and see how it feels.”
Spiller is considered a long shot for this Sunday’s game with his sprained shoulder. He won’t rule himself out, but it’s sounding like he won’t be pushed to play Sunday against the Patriots.
“I’m just taking it day by day,” he said. ”We’ll see how it goes. The main thing we don’t want to do is rush it. It’s Week 4 and we’ve got 16-plus if we get to the postseason so we’ll do day by day and see what Sunday holds.”
Spiller is more likely to return Week 5 at San Francisco.
