The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with free agent tight end Alge Crumpler on two-year contract, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.
Crumpler is expected to sign the contract on Monday.
Crumpler was one of the Falcons most respected players and a leader in the locker room. He twice led the Falcons in receptions and had a streak of four consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2003-06.
But Crumpler was plagued by knee problems this past season, and was limited to 10 starts in 14 games. He his numbers dropped off as a result, as the seven-year veteran finished with 42 receptions for 444 yards and five touchdowns. Also, he counted $5.1 million against the salary cap for 2008, money the Falcons felt could be better spent elsewhere.
