Bears fired offensive coordinator Ron Turner.Bears TE coach Rob Boras is also gone, and QB coach Pep Hamilton will likely follow. Turner's unit finished 23rd overall and 29th in rushing offense, a year after the Bears ranked fifth in rushing. Turner also had a "cold relationship" with Jay Cutler, whose frustration with the playcalls showed on the field and perhaps contributed to his oft-lackadaisical play. Chicago is expected to target USC offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates and ex-Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis, among others, to be Turner's replacement.

suvvià la cacciata di Turner mi sembra più che sufficiente..................d'altra parte Smith è stato il coach che vi ha portato al SB e con la difesa ci sa fare.............io gli darei una prova d'appello.

Ho sentito che per l'OC si fa il nome di charlie Weis.............qs sarebbe davvero un colpaccio...........se arriva lui Cutler torna d essere un probowler

They were hard decisions that I had to make,” Smith said, “some tough decisions to tell some good football coaches that we are going in a different direction, coaches that helped us win the NFC championship not too many years ago. So we appreciate everything they did for us, but it is about the future for us and moving forward, and I feel like we can do that.”

While all six assistants who were dismissed Tuesday worked on the Bears offense, Smith stressed that he wasn’t blaming one side of the ball for the team’s disappointing 7-9 record. To that end, he explained that he was going to relinquish his play-calling duties on defense and hire a defensive coordinator.

“I am moving out of my role that I handled this past year as defensive coordinator,” Smith said. “I felt like last year, me being in that position was the best thing to do. I feel differently after going through this season, so I will be bringing in a defensive coordinator also

e c'è gia un nome per il nuovo DC:Perry Fewell

Perry Fewell is the premier candidate to take over as the Bears’ defensive coordinator.Fewell is very close to Bears coach Lovie Smith, having worked with him before as the defensive backs coach in St. Louis and Chicago, and is well versed in the Tampa 2 system that Chicago runs. Fewell also is well respected by the Bears’ staff as a coach and motivator.

Turner era il mio idolo  e a parte questo non credo che avesse fatto proprio male nel finale di stagione 
chiedo a voi orsacchiotti: ma Aromashodu come mai non giocava anche prima? forse l'unico vero wr che avevate, perchè i passaggi prima erano diretti tutti sul TE Greg Olsen 
e scusate se parlo al passato..

non giocava perchè Turner è un demente......ed il compagno di merende poco meglio
pensa che questa estate volevano tagliarlo e Cutler si è impuntato per farlo confermare 

Comunque la notizia del suo licenziamento già mi rallegra un po'
