New Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz said that he envisions Devin Hester moving to the slot and playing reduced snaps on offense.

Martz sees Hester going back to his role as a full-time returner. "It would be very difficult for him to play every snap on offense and still play effectively on special teams," Martz said. Hester would play the slot role that Az Hakim did for Martz's Rams and it's worth noting that Hakim never caught more than 53 passes in a season. Downgrade Hester's outlook for 2010.

sicuramente si, piano piano stanno rivoluzionando tutto l'ambiente.....anche se sinceramente non capisco che tipo di ragionamento stanno facendo con Lovie.......ci credono veramente o è solo fiducia a termine per mancanza di alternative valide?

A mio parere un errore la rivoluzione a metà mantenedo Lovie come HC, del resto molte sono le sue colpe (tenere Ron Turner, perdere Rivera, assumersi la responsabilità delle chiamate difensive) per le ultime due stagioni deludenti.

Forse come dici tu la mancanza di un'alternativa ha fatto sì che conservasse il posto.

TCU's Richmond to visit

The Chicago Bears have invited Texas Christian University offensive tackle Nic Richmond for a pre-draft visit to Halas Hall, according to a published report on Thursday.

Richmond was skipped over for next week's NFL scouting combine, according to the Chicago Tribune, but he will visit the Bears ahead of TCU's pro day on March 12. NFL teams are allowed to bring in no more than 30 players for pre-draft visits. Richmond, who is 6-foot-7 and weighs 307 pounds, played both tackle positions for the Horned Frogs, but primarily played right tackle.

The Bears college scouts have been at Halas Hall since last Thursday to prepare for the scouting combine, the Tribune reported. The first workouts scheduled to begin at the combine are on Feb. 26 with offensive lineman, tight ends, kickers and punters.

Sources tell the Chicago Tribune's Around Town celebrity column that Deion Branch "wants to sign with the Bears."
Branch was seen in Chicago on Friday night. Tom Curran of Comcast Sports in New England, however, passes along a report that Seahawks GM John Schneider has no plans to cut Branch, which is a big surprise considering the 30-year-old receiver's obvious on-field decline and $5.47M salary. Branch is apparently considered a good fit for new OC Jeremy Bates' scheme.
