Chad Jones wants to stay close home
“He’s a great athlete, but he’s really a very physical player,” Detillier said. “You see it in his play in run defense, and you see it in his play when a receiver crosses his path.”

Jones, who has heard rumors of possibly being drafted by the New Orleans Saints, said he would be thrilled to have the opportunity to play so close to home.

“Being home would be great,” Jones said. “Being Louisiana homegrown would be great for the city and great for the state. And I know my parents would be happy because they would be able to come to every home game. So yeah, that definitely looks good.”

Michael Schottey, who lists DraftTek, Bleacher Report and guest writer at MLive.com as his writing credits, tweeted on Friday morning that he's hearing "chatter" that Patrick Robinson -- the New Orleans Saints' first pick at No. 32 overall -- is being included in a possible trade with the Washington Redskins in exchange for Albert Haynesworth. Schottey clarifies that Robinson would part of a larger deal.

Trading a player that was just drafted might be considered a strange move, but it's definitely not unprecedented. Thus far, there has been no word from the Saints or Redskins beat writers on any possible trade of this nature, however, so we can't consider it to be too hot at this point.

Poi si parla di un sicuro abbandono della squadra via trade di Jammal Brown.
E al secondo giro del draft prendiamo, ovviamente, Charles Brown!
 

Comunque sembra una bella scelta, era considerato tra i top 10 OL...

Saints sign Sleeper wideout Chris bell of Norfolk ST.

After sitting out a year Bell hit the ground running. At 6' 3", 210 pounds, Bell, described by Coach Pete Adrian as a "speed guy", dominated the

Conference. Bell racked up 51 catches for 958 and 13 touchdowns with five scores coming for 50 yards or better.

After a breakout year, Bell went to Coach Adrian and inquired about entering into the draft. After checking to see if in fact he was draft eligible, he was selected to workout at the 2010 in Indianapolis. During Norfolk State's pro day, Bell turned in a 4.47 40 yard dash and a 39" vertical jump. "Chris has one of the fastest change of direction times of all the eligible receivers in the draft," Adrian says.
