Non nego che in questa stagione mi sto appassionando eccome alle vicende dei Saints. La classica squadra che dopo anni di delusioni risale per prendersi le proprie soddisfazioni e qualcosa in più. Interessanti.

Bill Walsh due anni fa aveva rilasciato una interessante intervista su alcuni lati tecnici delle difese.

If you have an offense that can score a ton of points, and do so quickly, that you priority, the first thing you need to build on defense, is a very good Nickle defense. You need 3 good corners, 2 good safeties, and a fast, quick LB and Dline group. The reasoning is becuase once you get a two score lead, teams are forced to go to at least 3wr sets and throw more often. This is how Indianapolis wins. This is also why Philidelphia kept Lito Sheppard when they have Brown and Samuels.

Se leggi bene Walsh inizia dicendo "If you have an offense that can score a ton of points, and do so quickly"
Vuol dire che se hai un attacco devastante ma una difesa non impostata in un certo modo (vedi Saints 2007 e 2008) la prenderai sempre nel culo...
